Tea with the Brockholes Blacknoses
We’re off to meet the Woollies, the Wonderful Woollies of Brockholes!
Meet us at the Baaaaa where the welcome brews are on us (or squash, little ones!) and whack on your wellies (even in summer these beautiful little grotters can generate a fair bit of mud!) then join us in a wander to meet our gorgeous gals out in the fields.
Our girls love a tickle, a chin scratch and a magical biscuit (all in moderation of course)! And they can’t resist a handful of their favourite sheep cake! We’ll meet the girls, the toddler lambs and (time of year permitting) visit any new arrivals in the Brockholes nursery. We’ll also visit some of our other resident farm friends on the way (and give them some treats of course!), including our Special Attention Field where anyone who needs a little extra special care lives.
Their spiral horns (apart from Mary), long white wool, Black kneepads and anklets and their cute fringes. We are going to walk out to the flock, with their fluffy coats and gentle demeanour this allows you to not only only watch them going about their natural day but also to get up close and personal with them.
We will take a favourite treat for some feeding.. be warned Cuddling the sheep is not really your choice - they have no awareness of personal space so be ready to be "Valais'd"
Roughly 1 hour
Once you have overdosed on the incredible cuteness you will have some time to calm down and prepare yourself for one of our delicious Brockholes Farm Afternoon Teas, depending which you choose at checkout. Both are equally delicious.
You are then free to explore the farm, take a walk along the river, get all nostalgic on our fairy tale trail, get to grips with nature on our habitat trail or say hi to the rest of the farm residents again.
Meeting the sheep is generally an outdoor event and we encourage you to come prepared for Cumbrian weather!
