Family Animal Keeper

Book Now

Getting close to animals is a memorable experience for everyone.

Whack on your Wellies and join our farm animal carers as you go behind the scenes. Prepare to get mucky and get a taster of what looking after animal entails.

Your day generally runs from 10am - 12.30. The experience varies week to week but will include a selection of elements from the following activities;

Preparing animal food
Feeding animals
Helping with animal health checks
Mucking out animal enclosures and houses
Scrubbing and refilling water bowls
Cleaning walls/doors
Replenishing the Animal Beds
Making enrichment items
Raking sand in the enclosures
Pooh Picking
Groom the donkeys

You are then free to explore the farm, take a walk along the river, get all nostalgic on our fairy tale trail, get to grips with nature on our habitat trail or say hi to the rest of the farm residents again.

Meeting the sheep is generally an outdoor event and we encourage you to come prepared for Cumbrian weather!
